Eldrick captured the Bay Hill Invitational in Orlando on Sunday, snapping a 132 week winless drought. He last won in 2009 at the BMW Championship in Chicago.
The timing of the victory could not be better for Woods. With the Masters next month, this is the sort of confidence-building victory that can give him a mental edge.
Also, Tiger is slowly but surely regaining favour in the court of public opinion. We all know about his off-the-course indiscretions. Hooking up with Denny's waitresses and gettin' busted for it by your smoking hot wife does not bode well for you image.
However, we can be a rather forgiving society. Sure, some folks (especially women) will never forgive Tiger for his infidelity, but most feel enough time has passed. He suffered public humiliation and lost his family over the scandal, but now we can all move on and let him rebuild his career.
The rest of the Masters field better be on notice. Tiger Woods is back and he's ready to wear a green jacket again.
